Although it is
unclear as to whether using your finger nails to scratch off the seal on recharge
cards indeed causes cancer or not, recharge card patrons, out of caution, have
come up with many alternative ways.
While some use pen
tops, coins and other rough edged objects to scratch the seal off, others
simply rub the card through their hair a few times and the deal is done. As to
whether this also comes with its own side effects, I am yet to find out.
However, one method
which has become a nuisance in recent times is the rubbing of recharge cards against
walls.
Take a look at these
walls
One question for my
pocket is that; how can we tell kids not to kill insects against walls, use it as
their first copy book or platform to display nicknames when we ourselves are
actively involved?
Like the Akan proverb
goes, the goat which rubs its buttocks
against its owner's walls thinks it is defacing them but it forgets that it is simultaneously
hurting itself.
Next time you buy a
recharge card and you know you cannot find a better way of revealing the pin, please
ask the vendor to do it for you and stop that nuisance of rubbing it against
the wall.
